The Western Cape High Court has officially embraced the digital age with the launch of the Court Online system, marking a significant step in the judiciary’s modernisation journey.
During the Go Live launch, Acting Judge President Patricia Goliath acknowledged the challenges of technological adaptation while emphasising its importance. She went on to encouraged resilience in navigating this shift, affirming the positive impact of embracing change. “Change can be daunting, but this change is necessary and good. Together, we will adapt and thrive,” she assured attendees.
Chief Registrar Ruanne David highlighted the system’s objective to ease administrative burdens, particularly by reducing paperwork. “This transformation is driven by the dedication of our staff,” she noted, adding, “Each one of you plays a pivotal role in making this a success.”
The Court Online system aims to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance accessibility for all stakeholders. As this new chapter unfolds, and more Superior Court Divisions begin the implementation of the Court Online System, it would only ensure better access to justice.
